The Building Regulations Act 1984 is the enabling Act under which the Builing Regulations and Building (Approved Inspectors etc) Regulations have been made.

They set standards for the design and construction of buildings to ensure the safety and health for people in or about those buildings. They also include requirements to ensure that fuel and power is conserved and facilities are provided for people, including those with disabilities, to access and move around the inside buildings.

We prepare detailed plans and specifications which meet all the criteria required by the Building Regulations. These plans are submitted to the Building Inspectorate for approval and can be given to builders to obtain accurate quotes and to be used as the working drawings.

The Building Inspectorate ensures that all new building work, whether for a house, office block or home extension is checked and inspected to confirm that its design and construction complies with Building Regulations and allied legislation.
